However, I think the head is way too large compared to the body, and the composition isn't too good either. He is placed too close to the pictures left edge, and since the pic is also rather small, it looks cramped. It's like there was more painted to the left and on the top, but then this bit was cropped out of the whole picture.
Anyway, this is a funny character! You really got the right loook on him. Well done.

Good lighting on the fur - did you use Photoshop? Did you use normal or screen mode with the brush when you were highlighting the fur?

Just one thing....the hat. It could be just a surreal thing with it's tinyness, and the fact that it's a bowler. Maybe I'm just not 'getting' it.
But if you intend him to look really Cosa Nostra, you need to give him a real wise-guy, low-on-the-forehead, homburg.
The bowler makes him look like he's trying to pass himsefl off as a banker..
