Concept is engaging to viewer because trees depicted with characteristics' of chess pieces helps to guide eye into distance. Girl is cute, perhaps pushing shadows darker so they fit surroundings in a stronger manner making composition balanced more so in terms lighting. Grass patterned as chess board recalls an old television special of Alice in Wonderland. Fun.

I guess she just came out like this because I felt that her "cuteness factor" didn't match a harsher lighting. honesty, I think the composition could be much better...each component is well executed, but the positioning does not work well... I think if the girl was moved more to the center, allowing that chess piece more breathing room, the flow would be more pleasing...I'd also like to see the girl's entire figure instead of the crop... otherwise, great work!

I agree Dean, maybe the girl shouldn't be cropped... I had my doubts. But i decided it would either lose detail, or depth if I didn't. I guess I should try enlarging the space a bit, see how it looks. Thank you for the feedback guys ! Cheers, Raluca
